Since Zimbabwe’s independence in 1980 and close to three decades later, its foreign policy has been shaped by a tiny few. Following an era of disaster and human catastrophe, people of Zimbabwean descent have come together to help shape and control the destiny of their country, by influencing policies that affect their future.
Our mission is to mobilize resources to respond to political and humanitarian catastrophes the people of Zimbabwe have endured in recent years. We aim to influence public policy in and about Zimbabwe through targeting elected officials, government agencies, policy-makers and opinion leaders. We seek to inspire and educate current and future generations to engage and get involved in rebuilding their country and secure democratic values. We will promote, protect and defend the rights of Zimbabweans wherever they may be. The man-made disaster in Zimbabwe is too huge to ignore. ZIA Network provides citizens and friends of Zimbabwe with a platform for intervention regardless of scale.
